 St. George Temple

The first Mormon temple constructed west of the Mississippi River is in St George. Located on a city block in St. George's historic district, the gleaming white St. George Utah Temple is a striking monument among the red sandstone buttes that characterize Utah's Dixie. Sharing the grounds is a public visitors' center, which houses a replica of Thorvaldsen's Christus.

 Brigham Young Winter Home

The Brigham Young Winter Home and Office is a historic residence and museum located in St. George, Utah. Brigham Young was the foremost Mormon pioneer and led the church to the Utah Territory. As Young grew older, his arthritis precluded him from spending winters in the Salt Lake City region, so his followers built him a winter home in St. George in the arid Dixie region of Utah. Young seasonally occupied the home and office from 1873 to 1876.

 Jacob Hamblin Home

The Jacob Hamblin home was built of sandrock quarried from the red hills behind the home. In 1863 stone masons, including Elias Morris and the Averett Brothers, were called by the Mormon Church to build a home for the Buckskjni Apostle to the Lamanites (Indians), The builders left "Irontown" near Cedar City, crossed the mountains to Santa Clara. In a short time a twostory home was constructed, built into the hillside so that the second story could be entered from the outside at ground level.

 St. George Tabernacle

The St. George Tabernacle is a historic building in St. George, Utah. It opened in 1876 to serve as a public works building, originally hosting church services and court hearings. Today, it is open to the public and hosts many public events, such as concerts.  The tabernacle still stands and earned the nickname "jewel of the desert". It underwent restoration in 1993 to help it resemble its original state.

 Daughters of Utah Pioneer Museum

The McQuarrie Memorial Museum is owned and operated by the three Daughters of Utah Pioneers (DUP) Companies in Washington County, Utah. Approximately 200 women members volunteer their time to manage and maintain the facility and serve as Docents to visitors from around the world.

 St George Art Museum & Opera House

The St George Opera House was built around 1875, and was used until the 1930's for cultural events. The U & I Sugar Company used the building until 1979, when it was abandoned and sat vacant for years.  Today, the restored structure is the centerpiece for the Pioneer Center for the Arts, a complex that includes the Opera House.

 Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm

The St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm houses exceptionally well-preserved dinosaur tracks, fossil fish, fossil plants, rare dinosaur remains, invertebrates traces and important sedimentary structures. This site is described by many paleontologists as "one of the ten best dinosaur track sites in the world" and is one of the most important discoveries in Early Jurassic paleontological history.
